Terms of Service
Last updated: May 16, 2026
Welcome to Remotery. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of remotery.co and any related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
1. What Remotery is
Remotery is a remote-job aggregator. We collect publicly listed remote job postings from across the web and let you browse them, save jobs you’re interested in, and track the applications you’ve sent. We are notthe employer for any role listed on Remotery, we don’t process job applications on behalf of employers, and we are not a recruiter or staffing agency.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to use Remotery. By creating an account you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you’re using the Service for a lawful purpose.
You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Don’t share your password. Tell us at info@remotery.co if you suspect any unauthorised access. You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account.
3. Job listings — accuracy and availability
We do our best to keep job listings accurate and current, but we can’t guarantee any of the following:
- that a listed job is still open or accepting applications
- that salary, location, or seniority details are exactly as the employer intends them
- that the employer’s claims about the role are true
- that any specific job exists at all by the time you click
We expire job listings 60 days after posting. If you see an obviously wrong, fraudulent, or misleading listing, please flag it to info@remotery.co and we’ll review.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape, copy, or republish job listings in bulk without our written permission
- use the Service to send unsolicited messages, spam, or recruiting outreach to other users
- attempt to break, probe, or overwhelm the Service (no automated traffic that we haven’t whitelisted)
- upload anything illegal, harassing, hateful, infringing, or deceptive
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your relationship to a company
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code or any non-public data
5. Your content (profile, applications, replies)
You may add information to your public profile — name, headline, bio, skills, social links, and similar. You decide whether your profile is public, unlisted, or private. You retain all rights to the content you submit.
By making content public (e.g. a public profile at /@username), you grant Remotery a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content as necessary to operate the Service. This licence ends when you remove the content or delete your account.
You’re responsible for what you post. Don’t post anything you don’t have the right to share.
6. Applying to jobs
When you click an “Apply” link on a Remotery listing, you’re sent off-site to the employer’s own application page. Remotery is not part of that application transaction — we don’t see your application contents, we don’t forward your CV to anyone, and we don’t negotiate on your behalf.
Our application tracker exists only on Remotery and only for you. The status you set (applied, interviewing, offer, rejected) is private to your account and is not shared with the employer.
7. Email
We send a small number of transactional emails when you sign up, reset your password, or change your account email. These are necessary for the Service and cannot be unsubscribed from while you have an active account.
We do not send marketing email today. If we ever add an opt-in newsletter, it will be opt-in, with a clear unsubscribe in every message.
8. Intellectual property
The Remotery name, logo, design, and the curated structure of our listings (categorisation, salary normalisation, location taxonomy) belong to Remotery. Individual job listings are attributed to their original employer; we don’t claim ownership over the underlying postings.
9. No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that job listings will be accurate, complete, or up to date. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Remotery is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Service — including lost profits, lost opportunities, missed job applications, or loss of data. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to USD 100 or the amount you’ve paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater. Remotery is currently free to use, so in most cases this cap is USD 100.
11. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that we reasonably suspect of fraud, or that pose a risk to other users or the Service.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — survive.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Remotery is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally goes to the courts of that jurisdiction.
